Ria Patel

Ria Patel established Project Shakti to spread awareness about mental illness in the South Asian community. When she is not working on Project Shakti, she likes to dance and spend time at the gym.

President

Chinmay Patel

Chinmay Patel played a key role in starting Project Shakti as he also experienced the stigma regarding mental health and wanted a way to express his emotions. In his free time, he likes to read, spend time with his dog, and travel.

Hasu Patel

Hasu Patel, a mother of two, decided to join the team after her family showed her that mental health deserves special attention. In her free time, she loves traveling, watching movies, and spending time with her children.

Advisor

Priya Patel

Priya Patel decided to join the team to help with the creative aspects of Project Shakti (logo making and website design). She is in her third year of law school and, in her free time, loves to travel and spend time with her two cats.

Advisor in Training

Lumos Patel

Lumos Patel is the emotional support animal of Project Shakti. Having a pet is one way of coping with mental illnesses, which you can see on our blog. Lumos is the advisor in training, learning all the ways of Project Shakti.
